Rejected at the 23rd Canon Lion City Cup!

Yesterday, i worked for Canon again! The 23rd Canon Lion City cup was held at Jalan Besar Stadium! Teams like Everton FC (England), Juventus FC (Italy), Benfica (Portugal) and CR Flamengo (Brazil). Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic squad, who won the bronze medal at last year’s inaugural games represent singapre. These six teams battled it out for honours over the span of ten days.

New Castle Team!

I worked on the last day which was the finals! It was Singapore VS Juventus.. We scored 4:0!! woo!

One of italy's players got injured! And i don't know why when he was was walking back to the bench, the crowd was booing!

Everytime we scored, the crowd would stand and applause!

I actually saw that when one of the singapore player fell, the italian team purposely kicked him! At that time the score was already 4:0.. The crowd saw it too and were like FOUL FOUL OIE! lolz. Haiya.. but i guess kids can be hot headed.. And singapore had like a cheer leading team singing cheers like 'if you're happy and you know you clap you hands..' haha.

Meanwhile i was taking pics with the New Castle guys..

I really wanted to take with the Everton team but was REJECTED THREE times by their GOAL KEEPER!! I'll remember this man!! argh~! It's because the day before, a girl lodge a complain saying one of them touched her ass.. So yesterday, they TOTALLY IGNORED us! argh~ So when i asked if i could take a picture with them they were like 'Nonono..' And the goalkeeper even made a face of displease!!!! then i made another attempt by asking another player if i could take a picture with them at another place(not at the canon booth) and he was like ok.. i'll ask the other players.. And they all were discussing it and probably decided on IGNORING me! Then the GOAL KEEPER walked up the stair past me and so i asked for the THIRD time "So, you guys can't take a picture with us?" and he was like "Nah.." ARGH~ COMPLETELY and UTTERLY REJECTED!! LOL

See! I'm not here because their didn't want to take a picture with me! The goal keeper is the tallest one in brown hair! Will remember his face! haha!

The final match was Singapore VS Flamengo.. The score was 0:0 throughout the 90mins of the game..

So they had to do penalty kicks to decide the winner! The Singapore players look so tiny and scrawny as compared to the Brazilian players! haha..

Woohoo~ celebrating on winning... 2nd!! haha.. We lost by a point! (

So the red and white streamers marked the end of the match which the poor cleaners had to pick up later on..

X-men: First Class in platinum suites!

Last mon, i watch X-men: First Class with nise at Cathay's platinum movie suites! They have a student 1 for 1 deal which means we each paid $14!!! Cheap or what! Students who have not been to gold class, here's your opportunity! Every mon and tues, before 6pm, you can get the 1 for 1 deal! Just show your student ID! Only thing is that to get the deal, you got to buy at the counter because they need to verify you're student.

Original price: $28~

We were resting and ordering food at the lounge! It's definitely smaller that vivo's or great world city's gold class but it feels cozier and there's more privacy..

We got their membership!

The privileges of being a member.. I must say, it's not that useful!

But the card looks nice!

Finally, after sitting at the lounge for half an hour, we enter the theater!

They have a back divider so it's hard for others to see you! The mini lamp is quite irritating though! Cause when i took a chicken dipped with chili sauce from nise, i brushed the chili sauce across the lamp!

The call assistance button also not a good location because we ordered alot of food and the plates pressed on the button sometimes!

We order peppermint tea(damn nice!), passionfruit tea(so-so), beef bolognaise hotdog(the beef bolognaise is too little!), chicken tenders(good!), seafood platter(not bad) and beef stew(the staff recommended it). I really love the chocolate coconut cookie which came with the tea!

The blankets are very thick and comfy but you got to ask for it! Overall, i enjoyed the movie experience so much that i bought 3 tickets for Green Latern to watch with my parents!

Nise did a comparison of cathay VS GV...

Both has pros and cons but overall, i guess people who likes privacy would chose cathay and people who prefers a bigger theater and screen would chose GV! So it just depends on one's preference!

For me, i prefer GV's lounge because the one at great world is really cool because it's just above the ticket counters, you can look down from the glass window and people watch! However, i love cathay's blankets! GV's blankets are like SIA's airline's blankets but cathay's one is really squishy and comfy! haha. And... not forgetting the peppermint tea with the fabulous chocolate coconut cookie! I'm so gona order it tomorrow when i watch Green Latern!

I just got to love deals.com.sg!! Lina bought 4 tickets to the luge for just $6/ride!!

We sat the cable up to ride the go karts! The cable cars looks really unstable! It's just like held at one side!

Look at fred's veins popping out! He's like holding tightly for his dear life! haha..

Whiles driving the car halfway, they stopped us to give us a Luge stamp!

After the rides, we headed back to vivo city and had marche!

I had strawberry tiramisu crepe! =D Looks so yummy!

Mere ordered banana chocolate so we had half of each!

Both were equally delicious! They were so generous on the strawberries and bananas! Talking about it just makes me drool...

Anyways, my feet are aching from wearing boots for more than 5 hours straight during the past 2 days! I was working at formula drift for Hocen! Will talk more about it in my next post..

Are you kidding?! Double injections??

On Thursday, i had my medical check up. As i am going to shatec to study pastries baking, i needed to get a Typhoid injection! First, they asked me to changed to a maroon robe to take an x-ray of my chest.

I'm still happily posing away because so far it was pretty fun...

After the x-ray, i was led to another counter to take my height, weight and blood pressure. After which, the nurse told her colleague, ''I've prepared the injections. They're on the table" Then i turned to my left and saw a tray of injection needles! It was then did i realised i had to take blood test! OMG! When the nurse was about to draw a tube of my blood, i was like "WAIT wait wait. I'm not prepare~!" And the other nurse said "ok. You look here and tell me what do you see?" She was holding a color book and i was thinking 'I'm not color blind!' So i just read out the number on the page and before i knew it, nurse #1 was sucking my blood with the injection needle! And nurse #2 was trying to distract me by asking me to read the entire color book! After like forever, she finally drew a full tube of my blood just after i read out the last number on the bloody color book!

I can totally see the blood seeping through! 5 SECONDS after the blood test, came the typhoid injection! I was like "What?! So fast" And nurse #2 was like "Don't worry. This one is very fast!" So i came out of the clinic both left and right arm aching!

As i had work after that, i was carrying my laptop with the typhoid injected hand as i felt my other arm had too little blood but after an hour, the typhoid arm started aching! So i switched to the less blood arm!

Typhoid injection~ It ached for TWO days!

Two days later, i went to collection my report.

What?! I went through so much pain just for these 3 miserable sentences!!! I already told them i don't have STD!! argh~!

Experience at Singapore's first imax theatre at lido!

Last wed my aunt gave me 2 tickets to a Special Surprise show on imax! Check out the tickets! They are silver!

I was super excited because so far i've only been able to stand outside the lido theaters helping people take pictures and printing them on the Selphy printers.. I was at lido on their opening and the showing of Pirates of the Caribbean which was graced by few local celebrities like Mark Lee, Jack Neo(i thought he was suppose to vanished like vapor) with his wife, Thomas Ong, Hui ge, Chen Tai Ming etc..

So before entering, i asked the Ticket-er if he knew what movie they would be screening. He replied don't know.

On mon, whiles i was working for Cannon, i asked the ticket seller if i could get another ticket for the special surprise movie and she replied can't. So i asked 'Do you have any idea what movie they will be showing?' She also said 'No one knows..' As we only had 2 tickets, I went with my sis!

Can't wait for the movie to start! I was hoping it was either Kungfu panda or Pirate of the Caribbean.

The seats at the imax theater are pretty huge..

We sat around the middle... The leg space in front was quite wide too!

And the cup holder is big! We bought nacho combo..

The cathay nachos cheese always taste like plastic! So i don't order nachos when watching at cathay.

This time i tried shaw's nachos and it is the same! Almost tasteless and the cheese color is orangey and translucent! Golden Village's nachos are still the best~!

Finally, the show started. The movie was by Warner Brothers and the starting was kinda foggy so i exclaimed to my sis "Oh! It is Harry Potter! Yay.." Then i realised there was no Hogwarts theme song so i said oh can't be. Then the screen showed a scene of a foggy mountain and i said "Orh.. it's kungfu panda! He's up on the mountain training!" After a while the camera lowered, from the mountains to the sea and the movie title came out "Under the Sea" I was like "What the hell is Under the Sea??" Then i saw it was narrated by Jim Carrey so i told my sis 'ok. At least it'll be funny." Well, guess what... I was wrong! As the title suggests, it ended up to be a 40-minute documentation of the marine life!!! Urgh~ At the 1st few minutes, i saw people starting to leave!

Special surprise movies can't be trusted!

Last saturday, after the boring documentation, i wanted to watch a great movie at imax. What better than Pirates of the Caribbean! I guess the highlight of the movie other than the great effects of the imax on 3D are the mermaids!

All so stunningly gorgeous! Although i don't get why their makeup are still so flawless when their faces are in the water 99% of the time! Really want to know what brand of waterproof makeup they use!

Pirates of the Caribbean never fail to meet expectations with a great actor, Johnny Depp and amazing ships, plot and effects! But out of all the movies i love this one the best! I don't know if it's because i watched it in the imax theater so the 3D is much better or cause i love the plot but it's so far the best movie i've watched this year! It really compensates for the 'Special Surprise' movie i watched earlier!

Summer getaway at Genting!!

Went genting on mon-wed.. We paid $3 for a night at first world hotel! Got the deal at deals.com.sg. So we each paid $52 for both the coach and hotel! Freaking CHEAP! We boarded the bus at 7am and reached the hotel at 2pm. As the hotel was cheap, of course, there's a downside! It took TWO hours to check in! We had lunch whiles waiting. Then, after checking in, we realised the rooms weren't side by side and they were super small! So we asked if we could have a room side by side and they upgraded us to a slightly bigger room! Yay! After that, we had dinner, sang ktv and watch fast and furious at 11pm. I fell asleep halfway because i was so tired! The movie was 2 hours! The only thing i remember was the ending was good! =)

I don't look very happy because the fishes swim so slowly! By the time they eat the food i drop, the boat has moved on! Then mere was like, you got to throw them all the way in the front, so by then, they would be swimming and eating beside our boat!

Actually, i was letting others get on a car 1st and then i realised there were no more cars for me! And then the guide pointed to a car which was right in front! So i had to run to the front to sit the car! And i'm turning back to see when i can start driving the car! haaha..

After the theme park, we went back to the hotel, ate and then went bowling! I'm now having a sore-throat because we had fried chicken or spicy food for every meal! At the hotel we realised we were all sun burnt! Although it was pretty cold there, the sun was strong and we forgot to put sun block! It's pretty funny that we got sun burnt at GENTING! haha

This totally looks like the bowling alley Justin Bieber was dancing at! haha

That marks the end of our trip! We went back to the hotel, chatted till late, slept and woke up early to catch our coach to head back to Singapore!

'Prawning' at Bishan!

Sat was ultra tiring! After election, which, as expected the PAP won because we're under Lee Hsian Loong, i worked for Canon and then went prawning! I voted for the workers party because firstly, the government demolished the seletar hill market SEVEN years ago and it has been an empty field ever since. There used to be a wet market, macs, basketball court, stationary shop and hawker center with excellent bahkuteh and duck rice and now, they are ALL GONE! Though i missed them as there were lots of childhood memories there, i was excited for the new mall the government was going to build.. But after chasing the hawker vendors and HDB residents away on 2004, it was left bare since! It became a field where people sometimes play soccer, picnic and fly their kites there.

Now, finally, Far East Organisation has bought it but it's been half a year and still no cranes on site. I know we don't have such thing as 'estate benefits' but a market's probably the least the government could have done considering we contribute ALOT to taxes. So, how do you expect me to vote for the PAP? I can close an eye to arrogance or high salaries but not to utilities.

On a lighter note, prawning!

Had macs for dinner... i've been having fast food for most meals the past week! That probably explains my sore throat! haha

After prawning for 2 hours....

I didn't catch a SINGLE prawn!!!

So i decided to stuff my hook with lots of bait!! haha. Didn't work.

52 prawns! plus another 10+ later on! Alright.. we didn't catch them all! About 60% of them were given by the uncle! haha. Because we caught so little prawns! Probably like 20+? So nise and i went to uncle and was like "Uncle! We got so many people but we caught so little! How??" And he took out like 30 odd prawns from the fridge to give us! haha..

The prawns are like celebrities! Haha.. So many people looking and taking pics of them!

Been working events this whole week! Super ultra tiring! People usually think this kind of jobs are very easy but imagine standing and talking 12 hours straight!! You seldom see showgirls wearing the brand's uniform and sitting down!

Before working, we had to attend a briefing at their show room.. I made a bad decision of driving there and guess what.. i freaking crashed the car!!!

It's dented in! Gosh! Nise was like "You have to crash a car before you can promote one."

I worked for Lexus from last fri to this mon! The last day was PH, Labour's Day. I almost didnt want to work cause my legs were KILLING me but they increased it to 1.5 times so i dragged~ myself to work!

For every pair of movie tickets, you could redeem a FREE photo. My job was to help people take pictures and print it out!

There was a guy who used his pair of tickets to take a picture of me! I was like, "erm, it would be better if i take a picture of YOU or if you really want, we can take together" But he kept insisting so i was like okay.. I must admit, the picture turned out really nice!

Canon Ixus220HS advertisement all over the escalator to Lido! The theater's finally opened after like a year or so.. I heard they spent 20mill to renovate!!

Canon sponsored lido free pictures for their opening i'm guessing, in exchange for the advertisement.

I have no idea why there are so many monkeys!

And of course, nise visited me!! She's 'pretending' to work too! haha.

The new and improve HongKong cafe!

Everytime i catch a movie, i watch 4 out of 5 times at cine leisure. So, about half of the time, i will end up eating at HK cafe.. The side tables used to have a lamp light which shines onto the tables in front. Hence, there were some customers who complained. So for the better, they finally renovate it! The theme colors are red and black so it looks more posh..

Here's mary teaching me how to close my apps properly on iphone 4... I didn't know till now, that you must double click the middle button and the running apps will appear, then you must hold onto the apps to delete them. All along, i thought that you just have to press the middle button and the app will close!

I Had Yangzhou fried rice.. *thumbs up! The portions are really big!

When Nise saw my dress she was like "Hey.. Where's your groom?"

Our lips are all the same color because they all used my lip gloss! I really love Rimel's lip gloss!

We watch limitless.. I think there's part two because it ended ambiguously.. It's about a pill which once taken, you would have full access to your brain so you learn and do things much faster than the average person.

The best show of the month for me was Rio! I liked it so much that i even downloaded the full version of 'Rio Angry Birds' app on my iphone. The birds are so cute and it has a storyline unlike Hop. The starting of Hop was impressive when they showed the chocolate factory but that was all that was great about the movie.

Halfway through the picnic it started drizzling slightly and as i was bring the food to the gazebo shelter, i could actually hear the rain coming from west towards east.. It was kinda scary! I want to run but i was wearing wedges and i thought it would be embarrassing if i feel into the muddy grass so i strut slowly towards the shelter.

Halfway towards my long strenuous walk, the pour of shower came! Yet, i still had no choice but to pretend i didn't mind the rain. So, we had our picnic at the gazebo..

First step into the New DbO..

Last Saturday was Zira's bday.. My 1st time ever stepping into the NEW DbO.. Used to be my fav club when i was 19.. I remember going there every thurs during ladies night because the age limit on regular days was 21 for ladies and 23 for men except on Thursdays. Dbo's my favorite because of the super cheap drinks! The shots were $3 and a JUG was $12! Sometimes they even have 1 for 1 jug! Now it's still cheap but their added gst to their prices. So a jug's now $16.+ and shot $4.+...

Saturday's music was old school retro and a little mambo but at about 1.30am it changed to R&B.

Before that we had dinner at Society Bar...

I was late so no me in the grp pics.. =(

Life is a roller coaster; just gota ride it...

Last thursday, rid, galdyn and I went to Universal Studio!

Rid had $125 worth of vouchers so we each paid $30 for the tickets only! Usual price: $72.

An old london alley... I seriously think they spent more money on the decorations than the rides!

We freaking sat on this roller coaster 6 times!

They have like 6 themes. Sci-fi city, Ancient Egypt, Jurassic Park, Far far away land, Hollywood and Madagascar.

We first enter Sci-fi city where the roller coasters were!

This ride was like those tea-cups ride which was not only boring but gave me a headache!
My favorite theme was ancient Egypt because of the fantastic rides, humongous statues and erm.. hot Egyptian!

The most irritating part was that at most of the rides you can't bring in bags, cameras or even handphones so we had to put our stuff in the locker everytime we sat a ride! The lockers were free for 30mins but if you exceed, you had to pay $2. So if the queues were long we would have to pay $2 EVERYTIME we sat a thrilling ride!

When we saw this Anubis, i asked if we could have a picture with him and he was like 'grrr...' and started being fierce! However, we wanted to ride the Egyptian roller coaster which was really fun so i was like "Oh, it's ok but we want to cross to sit the roller coaster!" Cause he was 'grrr-ing' and chasing us away!

Yesterday, I watched Morning Glory. Finally a great movie after a series of boring movies! It's a hilarious and inspiring movie about a woman who pursues her dream job and handles her love life at the same time.
Just like the coral long tank top i wore at USS(Universal Studio Singapore), i wore a casual belted turquoise tunic tank to the movies.

VIP in the House!

Last week was mere's birthday! I woke up early to bake her a cake! haha. We celebrated in Ootaya at Orchard Central!

When mere was cutting through the cake i was thinking, 'Phew~It's not a rock!'

After eating.. Mere was like 'ally should open a bakery! ♥' Then fred said 'Devil Koo bakery?' haha.

After dinner, they went to watch The Adjustment Bureau which i so wanted to watch but the previous week i had already promised eileen to go rebel.. So i met up with eileen and mary and headed to rebel. When marcus reached, he called eileen and then they went to get another chop. I was like 'Wait. we have chop already!' and marcus replied 'This is different. It's the VIP chop' I was thinking "What?! There's sucha thing?'
When we headed in, i told eileen 'I go rebel so many times yet this is the 1st time i get a VIP chop' Eileen was like "YAR! That's why i asked him to come out to the entrance to find us cause i don't know where the VIP area is!" When the bouncer's UV light hit my hand, i quickly glanced at the chop and it was a spade chop! I was thinking "Wow, Kate Spade designed my hands!" haah..

Cause during CNY, wong,li and i were sitting together and coincidentally, we ALL lost our iphones! So when eileen joined she, i was like "Erm.. think you better don't joined us unless you want to join the iphone loser club!

No such thing as a boring sunday!

Last sunday, my girlfriends and I had a picnic at Marina Barrage...

Look at how much food we had!! Sushi, fishballs, waffles, sandwiches, tidbits and 30 packets of drinks!!

Check out the bags of chips and boxes of chocolates!!

Don't ask me why spongebob's at our picnic too!

And of course, Patrick came along!

Li's posing with my homemade waffles and soh's with her extra boiled egg!

It's really windy and relaxing!

We also had a live band behind us! haha. We chose a good spot!

After eating, we flew a kite..

Then half way while playing card games, it started raining!! So, they made an announcement to clear the area...
Luckily, we still could continue playing games inside the building. That's why marina barrage is the perfect place for picnicking in this rainy island.

So whiles waiting for the rain to stop, we were playing games while admiring the scenery. The loser had to bring home the left over food which wasn't much because miraculously, we managed to finish the 30packets of drinks and most of the food!

So, for people who always think that there's nothing to do except watching movies and shopping in singapore, you're wrong! There's no excuse for a boring Sunday!

The past week i've watched a few really terrible movies! I didn't bother checking out what the movies' storyline were because they both had great A list actresses staring in them. 1st super boring and depressing movie was.. Rabbit Hole! The lead actress was Nicole Kidman, so naturally i thought, 'How bad can the movie be?'

But... the entire movie was about this parents(played by Nicole Kidman & Aaron Eckhart) trying to deal with their son's death. When i mentioned entire, it really is THE ENTIRE movie! I thought it was going to be interesting because the 'Rabbit Hole' is about parallel dimensions. But it ended up to be the title of a COMIC BOOK which the boy who accidentally knocked their son drew!!!

The 2nd boring movie was Never Let Me Go. It was so senseless! The movie's about a group of kids raised to be organ donors. And yes, the movie ends with all of them dying because they go through multiple operations to have their organs dug out one by one. Is that even allowed??? So damn depressing! Keira Knightley was one of the kids so i thought the movie would be pretty good because i loved her in Pirate of the Carribean but at 1st i couldn't even recognised her! I don't know if it's because of the makeup or hair but she looked different. Bad different.

Before the movie, i had an interview. I applied as a PT Art Teacher... So i had to wear a blouse, (haven't worn 1 in a long long time) and pants.

After the interview, I didn't want to look like an office lady so i unbuttoned my shirt and rolled up my pants to get this preppy look!

On fri, i sat in one of the art classes. The kids were asked to do a paper flat mailbox. When the teacher asked the children to staple the sides of the paper, i witnessed a boy actually stapling his FINGER! OMG! When the teacher asked "WHOSE STAPLE IS THAT?!" The kids explained frantically "He ownself take one and then he use it to staple his hand!" When i heard that, i was trying suppress a laugh. But the teacher was furious! She shouted "WHO TEACH YOU ALL TO STAPLE YOUR FINGERS?! IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A STAPLE THEN DON'T USE!" haha.

Anyway's i'll be having a bazaar on the 12th at woodlands!

Sunday, I went to watch I am number four. The movie's really fantastic! And i especially love teresa palmer's role and outfit!

The movie's about a 9 aliens survivors from the planet Lorien who possess special legacies and powers meant to protect earth. Their enemy, Mogadorians are hunting them down. The teenagers are protected by a charm, which only allows them to be killed in a set order. Three have been killed. John(main charactor) is Number Four whiles Palmer is Number Six.

Pettyfer plays John.. The movie's filled with hot actors and actresses! I can't wait to see number 5,7,8,9! haha.

Number six has a rocker chic personality.. I really love her studded back pack!

Her personality and outfits has Balmain written all over. Casual Rocker Chic.

After movie, we went Kbox. We sang for 4 hours for absolutely FREE!!! The Kbox at Scape have an unbelievable promotion! For every 2 movie tickets, you can exchange a $20 Kbox Voucher. As we had 5 people, we could only get 2 voucher. So after the movie, we asked the people sitting around us if they wanted their tickets. We managed to get 7 tickets which equals to 7vouchers(the information counter gave us an extra)! 7 vouchers = $140!!

The package included 2 drinks each and 2 bowls of tidbits. I think the offer only lasts for a month so quickly make use of it!

Their DJ function can applause, cheer and even jeer! haha.

When singing Umbrella, fred and mere took out their umbrellas and started going mad on the sofa!

We were absolutely crazy! Jumping, dancing, screaming, acting all in that small boxy room.

Need advice for an interview?

Two day ago i went for an interview as a free lance fabric/accessories designer. After showing my portfolio, the interviewer gave me a fabric book and asked me to browse through it. After 30mins of browsing and waiting, she asked if i like fabrics and would like to do up a collection of fabric book like that. I replied "Yup. Sounds interesting" Then, she said "Do you do sewing? Let's see your sewing"

Next thing i knew, i was sitting in front an over-lock machine sewing the edge of a large fabric. Then she said "ok, we have lots of fabric here. How do you like trying to match and put fabrics together to form a page?" I stared at a stack of hundreds of fabrics and started selecting fabrics which go well together. Then i showed her 6 fabrics i chose and she said "It looks nice.." and then she gave me a 10x15cm template to cut the fabrics to form a 30x30cm page. As i was cutting and sewing the edges, i was like "WAIT! What the hell am i doing cutting and sewing here!" She didn't tell me about my pay or if i could start working. At first, i thought she wanted to test my sewing skills and fabric coordination but to ask me to actually cut and edge the fabrics?! I looked at my watch and realised i've been here for freaking 3 and a half hours!

After i was done, she still asked if i would like to do another page! i was like "Erm, i drove here and the parking is very expensive so i think not. By the way, what would the pay be like?" She paused and replied "It depends on the number of hours and the days you are willing to commit. Once, you've thought about it, you can quote your price" And the she asked if i could come tomorrow. I said "ok, see you tomorrow!"

Next day, I came in at 10am. Before that, i've already decided to work for 2.5 days a week for 1.2k a month. I was even willing to go down to 1k as i pretty much enjoyed mixing and matching the fabrics and she even mentioned that she has a few designers working under her so after i familiarise with the fabrics i could come up with a collection of 10pieces. She seemed pretty unsure about their company's style cause when i asked her about their style, she said "We have different styles because a customer might like a certain piece but would want it in short sleeves" Like ?WHAT? That's not style.. So i asked again "So is your company's style like casual?" She replied "Casual, not office wear but not bridal too." "What about edgy rock style?"(thinking she would say no because the feel of the office and fabrics were very ethnic) To my surprise, she replied "Yup, that's ok too"

She then asked me to continue off from my 1st page to see if i could form another 2-3 pages. After i was done, she pointed out she didn't want similar fabrics together. Once i got a hang of it, i was putting together pages of fabrics which she approved and said "it's looks wonderful." After selecting, cutting and edging about 10 pages of fabrics, it was 7pm already!

Then, one of the staff came in and asked if i could match colors and fabrics for the interior of their future store. I said "Sure. But it's 7pm already. What time is the working hours here?" She asked me to ask the boss. So i knocked on her door to ask and she said "It's 6pm but the staff here don't go off during that time" So i said "Oh, ok. I was thinking, if i worked about 2-3 days a week, how much would the pay be like" She replied "How much would you want?" I told her 1.2k. And she said "1.2k is our full time pay." I was like "oh... So if i worked thurs, fri and half of sat, what would the pay be?" She said "I told you, 1.2k's our monthly pay so from there you calculate yourself. Plus we have CPF" I was thinking 'What??? That means i would get like $400+(after CPF)' So i took my bag and left. Today morning, i called her to tell her "After consideration, i don't think i would like to work for your company as the pay is too low"

I FREAKING WORKED A WHOLE DAY FOR FREE!!!

Lesson learnt : NEVER do anything without clarifying your salary first! I mean, she should have told me that their budget was 1.2k a month instead of beating around the bush. She should have known i wouldn't ask for below $600 for part-time because my previous and current(part time) jobs pay higher! This job, i got to travel for 2 hours, back and fro and work for 10 whole days a month. So why on earth would i even think about asking for less than my current uniform designer job which i spend about 10hours/month on the designs!

So now's the main question is, 'What company am i ranting on about??' It's Formula 1 furniche pte ltd!!! Word of advice, never interview there!

Valentino Exhibition

Today's the 15th day of Chinese New Year! The last day! I've eaten like countless number of Yu Sheng. None of the outside yu sheng beats my mum's home made one.

Last week, I went to the Valentino Exhibition. Melody had free tickets. =) Singapore's the only asia stop it's making. The exhibition was at Sentosa.

Lots of Valentino dresses are inspired by flowers.

This was the center piece of the exhibition.. The cape has like hundreds of petals sewn together!

Then after viewing the middle section, we headed to the left. This was went i decided to start naming each outfits, giving meredith a 'tour'.

I was like "Oh! Look what we have here! Moses from Colors of the Wind dressed in giraffe prints."

Next, presenting the shower cap outfit.

Beside it we have the mushroom cancer patient hat!

Wow~ Valentino's famous red collection! In the middle, we have the famous red chinese ghost girl dress!

Last but not least, the one million dollar dress!

Jokes aside, Valentino's made many beautiful dresses don by many A list celebrities! Though he's retired, he has definitely made a mark in the fashion industry!

Happy 22nd! Yes.. we are 22! =( that's one reason why i hate the new year countdown. It's because in the beginning of the year, i hesitate when people ask my age. It's like i'm 22 but my birthday hasn't past so im 21. Yet, when i tell people i'm 21, i feel kinda guilty. Ok, whatever it is, at least my birthday's during sept so at least i can still say 21 for another 7months! haaha. Too bad lili! You're officially 22!!!

Spring Summer 2011 Couture should be changed to Ready-To-Wear! Couture is all about high-quality, expensive fabric sewn with extreme attention to detail and finished with time-consuming, hand-executed techniques. Yet, the runway was flooded with simple or ugly 1970's prom dresses. I mean, look at Valentino's SS2011 Couture. The designs are so simple they might as well stamp Clavin Klein all over it.

First day of Chinese New Year i visited two of my relatives houses..

I must say thanks to my green underwear, green accessories and yellow cardigan! haha.. cause during the new year countdown, they fortune teller said yellow was snake's lucky color. but according to 女人我最大, they said green! so i played safe and wore both!! haha.

But believe it or not it works! Later on we payed mahjiong for like 1 and a half rounds and i won $16!(I should have won $35.2! but i forgot to add my hua shang) We were playing like 20cents, 40cents only and man tai was 5 only but i got man tai(3 flowers and ban se), zi mo, hua shang jia hua(meaning my winning tile was from the flower deck and i drew it myself!)

Today, I got my Chinese New Year accessories! And I finally managed to find my green lace bra! Heehee.

I bought the bras from Wacoal. I don't really like army green so i bought one turquoise too which is considered green cause it's greenish blue. haha. The panties are from Cotton On. I've been finding a nice green bra for ages! Cause again, i was watching '女人我最大' and they were showing audiences what lucky undergarment to wear to welcome the Rabbit Year!

Scape flea & The Line Buffet

Just came back from scape flea. It's been raining the ENTIRE day! Sucky weather for fleas. Last week i also had a flea.

I'll miss you qc!! She left for london on friday.. I gave her a photo album calendar as a farewell gift. It's been 1 1/2 years since i've entered nafa! i never knew my hair was so short at that time!

This the 1st picture of the calendar album. I know it's only 18 months but WHYYY do i look much younger then?! Is it because short hair makes one look younger or am i really AGING?! NOOO.....

12th Feb just before Valentines Day I'll be having another flea too!

After flea last Sunday, i went The Line Buffet at Shangri La Hotel with my family to celebrate my dad's birthday. What separates The Line from other buffets is that it has chiefs allocated to each different cuisine and all their ingredients are available to the public's eye.

They even have a salad bar with fresh ingredients at the back!

My favourite section!! Japanese cuisine! You can select a slice or portion and they will cut it for you on the spot!

So of course i asked for a portion of everything! haha.

Seafood bar... The prawns and crab are fresh but pretty tasteless. Normally i would eat about 10 prawns if they're fresh but it's so bland that i only ate 3. I guess that's why they have thousand island sauce at the side.

Oysters! A pity i don't eat oysters.

Beef~! This is the western part. They have dim sums, Chinese and Indian food too!

And finally, my most anticipated section.. DESSERTS!

I tried their chocolate brownie crepe. DELICIOUS!

They even have a mini 'Candy Empire'! haha

And to top it off, a chocolate fountain!

And an ice cream bar! What i did was took a plate of candies and asked the woman to mix it into the ice cream for me! haha. smart eh~

After dinner, we took a walk at the garden outside the restaurant.

After a whole day of flea and a super filling dinner, i fell asleep the minute i laid on my bed!

Yesterday I went Play Nation with nise, mary and the sgc ppl.. We booked their big room!

When we entered we were like 'WOW~' The room was so big and nicely decorated!

Check out the walls! It's painted in white and pink stripes!

We were playing some bunny super tiring game!

There was this balancing on the rope game which we played quite a few times but never managed to get to win cause we kept falling of the rope! So i was so pist off i wanted to smash the screen! haha. And nise managed to capture the moment!

The room had an xbox and a wii.. So at the other side of the room, they were playing guitar hero using xbox.. bunch of 'act cools'.. haha

We ordered the package which is about $15. It included free flow of drinks and popcorn~..

The skirt i'm wearing was bought a couple of days ago at Cotton On.. Since it's going to be Chinese New Year, it's sales everywhere! I think this is the 1st time they have sales before CNY because usually it always AFTER CNY then they have sales. Maybe it's due to the fact that last year's after CNY sales didn't do well, so they thought 'Why not make more sales NOW when everyone's in a shopping mood?' A bloody good move. Cause i only paid $7.50 for the skirt! This week, i've bought quite a number of striped stuff..

Stripes may not have invaded Singapore yet, but it's dominated Spring's 2011 fashion runways.

My absolute favourite SS2011 Collection was PRADA! I loved EVERY single piece of their collection! I adore their bold color stripes, their playful monkey & bananas prints, wedged shoes, matching handbags and and their furry shawls.

I freaking PASSED my driving~!!!!!! And YES! ON MY 1ST TRY!!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw the word PASSED imprinted on the paper!! WOO~ Could it be because of my green nails?? haha. Yesterday, i told my instructor "If i fail, i would see you next week!" and he was like "Nonoono.. i don't want to see you anymore.." hahaha. He's wish is granted!

After my fantastic~ driving experience, i met li to cut & dye my hair at Artica.. Seriously, even if the hairdresser, Juno, cut me botak(bald) i would still love my hair because i'm blinded by happiness~!

I dyed my hair dark red whiles li dyed hers light brown.. We really love our hair color!! I just hope my red doesn't lighten or turn orangey after washing.

Juno, the hairdresser, said that red color will fade after washing. So i was thinking of not washing it for a week! But i probably won't be able to stand it..

Light brown: SAD (lost iphone 4!) Red: HAPPY! (passed driving!) heehee..

We paid $138.50 each.. $45 for haircut and $93.50(after 25% off) for coloring. Treatment was FOC.

Everytime i come out of the hair salon, my hair will be so freaking straight & shiny. But the minute i wash it, it turns back wavy! Another reason not to wash my hair for a week!

2011 CNY lucky colors to fatten your hong bao!

Today went nail palace at amk hub with my mum to do pedi an manicure! Freaking sat there for TWO HOURS to be pampered~! I would never guess it would take so long to get a mani&pedi. It only takes an hour to get acrylic nails done! My mum bought the $2000+ for 12 times package a year ago but only used it 4-5 times cause it takes super long.

Here's why it took two hours. They soaked my feet in sterilized water, scrubbed off the dead skin on my legs, put mask on them and wrapped it with a plastic wrap. Then she cut my cuticles, put oil on my nails and moisturizer on my soles.

Then put my feet in this white bag which i think produces heat to soften the dead skin.

She also did the same for my hands and arms!

After she removed the dead skin of my feet(she showed me balls of my dead skin! gross*) and washed off the mask, she put my hands and feet into this plastic bag of hot pink liquid. After like 20seconds, the liquid started hardening. Then only did i realised it was wax(paraffin)!

When she wasn't looking i quickly removed my hand out of the 'bag' to take a picture of the hardened wax! haha.

I don't really fancy green but i was watching 女人我最大 and they say that the lucky color for snakes this rabbit year is GREEN! So for CNY, i'm going to have some green on me to fatten up my hong bao from black jack! haha.

My neck is aching for the 1st time for in my life! When i look up, it hurts like hell. My arms and thighs are aching too! But it's common due to lack of exercise so when i do activities which require strength they will end up aching the next day. Now, the reason for aches is because of wave house! Met up fiona and all at 9pm. We 'surfed' from 10pm-12am and had the whole barrier to oursleves..

At first it was pretty scary and as all of them have been to sentosa wave house except me and 1 other guy so I was super nervous. I kept telling the instructor like 'this is my first time..' and without much instructions, (he just asked me to bend my knees and put my weight on my back leg), he let me out on the 'ocean'! In less than a second, i was blown away by the current! Argh! I felt myself whirling in the water and i even breathed in some water!!! Damn~! I seriously thought i was going to be the first one ever to drown in Wavehouse! On my 3rd try, i managed to stay on the board for like 5seconds. Then on my 4th try, i was surprised that i could stay on for like a minute! so i got kinda cocky and turned around to show a good sign to the guys and then when i turned back, i lost my balance and got washed away by the current again!! Once when i was surfing, i gulped down an entire FULL mouth of the disgusting water! Yikes~!

Then after that, i left to meet mary and foo to go ZOUK! Can't believe how much energy i have! haha. I guess it's because i'm just like patrick the starfish! I've neither school nor work.. haha. Before i left alex said "Later when you dance don't do the surfing dance(surfing action)!"lolz.

haha.. cause when we were dancing at phuture, this guy totally wrapped his arms around my waist and i was like erm.. i'm dancing with my friends. Yet, he continued to do so. I tried pushing his hands away but i think he lost his sense of touch. So i turned around and he said "I know these are you friends but can i dance with you because i think you're hot?" I retorded "But I think you're not." haha.. i don't mean to be bitchy but shouldn't you ask before you WRAP(he didn't just placed) your arms around a girl? Illogical~

Today met li for haircut..

Yes, there's absolutely no difference! Cause we ended up changing the appointment to wednesday, which coincidentally is my driving practical test day!! That stupid li knows that i have driving lessons yet she came AN HOUR LATE annndd still wanted to dye her hair.. Obviously not enough time! So we ended up eating at the lvl 3 sushi place in far east!

The salmon slices are really thick but still taste good cause it's fresh! The grilled terriyaki is fabulous because the skin is crispy~.. The place is forever packed but we managed to get in cause we went early. I've counted. They only have 20 seats and it their sashimi are super fresh cause the chief cuts it on the spot!

Then on my way to to driving lesson, i saw this girl wearing a 'toe slippers'.

I mean i understand singaporeans love wearing slippers. Like almost everyone owns a pair of havaianas. But how can anyone catch a bus or even walk in this?? It's visually displeasing and doesn't look comfortable!

After driving, met with Rid for dinner at the kopitiam opp smu to eat the green curry. Nise told me she ate at sakae sushi for dinner and asked where i ate. I was like a kopitiam! That idiot Rid just wanted to eat there. After which, we met up with faith and zhiwen and headed towards editors market at cine to meet nise and her friends. I bought a bag for like $17. Super cheap cause we got the 18pieces price. I think their concept's really smart because you would gather your girlfriends to make a trip down to Editors Market to get their cheapest price. Like this bag is actually $45 buy if you buy 3pcs it's $37 and 10pcs = $25.

Right after we came back from taipei, my bro threw his girlfriend a surprise birthday party! He made her do 22 task as she turned 22 24th dec. As we were in taiwan, my bro had to throw her a belated party..

What's in front of me now? My laptop and a bunch of tissue.. I'm freaking down with a flu!
Anyway's it's been a week since i''ve come back from taiwan... Spent the Christmas and new year there. 1st day, we sat the mao kong cable car..

Most exciting part of the trip... A CAR CRASH! A garbage truck crashed into my mum's friend's car when we were waiting at the side of the road! And it's so obvious he crashed into us because you can see the scratch in front followed by the dent. Yet, he dare to tell the policemen we banged into him. Utter Rubbish!~

Whiles the aunties were settling the car accident with the policemen and ridiculous garbage man, we were happily eating All-You-Can-Eat BBQ buffet! haah..

Was lina's bday yesterday.. She invited us for dinner at Potion bar & restaurant at Nostalgia Hotel.

Their chairs are very comfy and the ambiance was relaxing.. They had an interesting wallpaper and few art paintings which serve as a nice background for photos! haha,.

I had the best lasagna in my life!! By the time i took a picture, it was already half eaten! The sauce was so creamy, cheesy and ample! I'm just drooling thinking about it!

Today, i met up with qc to get a bank acc, then mere, fed and selina for dinner.. Selina's getting married next year!! aww... the feeling of bliss she's surrounded by.. can totally imagine her being a housewife, waiting for her hubby to come home everyday.. lol!

When she was on her way back, the traffic stopped and these parade of Christmas vehicles drove out in a side line with life size figurines of jesus when he was born, Christmas trees and such..

Then i met eileen at jalan kayu for a drink.. She passed me my x'mas present....

A passport holder from alldressedup!!! I've been looking for a passport holder for the longest time to replace the lousy Chan Brother's cover and she gave me one! OMG!! <3 it! thanks babe! haha. We talked about friday and how freaking fun it was.. It's like she and ivan totally forgot half of the stuff that happened! like ivan didn't even know how we got into artica and eileen came home wondering how a DJ's namecard was in her bra! It's like she completely forgot that she asked for the DJ's number!! haha.. looks like i was the most sober out of the 3 drunkards! lolz. alrights.. i got a flight to catch tml morn! off to taiwan~!

Freaking tired now.. i just got back from overseas a couple of days ago.. fri was super fun! met up with sec school friends for dinner and x'mas gift exchange!
we drew lots and i received mich's present... A photo fame!

Then at night met with eileen and ivan at a pub! We drank beer, champagne, sambuca and others.

We played 5-10 and the person who loses thrice had to pose with an L and drink..

It was supposed to be a give 'someone' hell day but by the end of the night, we were super high and drunk! Annd my heels ended up like this...

6 straps totally broken off from my right heels and the left had two sole survivors remaining.. haha.. we took turns to carry the heel swinging it around! Don't ask me how i managed to dance and take cab home all on ONE foot! Next morning, when i woke up, i was surprised to find myself fresh from showering in pajamas. Wonder how i managed to shower, change and sleep.

Weekends it was work work work! Sunday qc, sherm & I met at 12am and we worked all the way till 4am to try and finish our blogshop! We managed to take pictures of all our products, photoshop them and post them up! =D We still got a little work to do and then, PotHate will be born!! A sneak preview of our products!~

After our high tea, we went to the Loreal sales..

When i got home, i tried the goodies i bought! Absolutely love it!! I used their water proof makeup remover($10) to remove my eyeshadow, loreal gel eyeliner($10), Summer Sunset lipstick(4 for $20) & volume inflator($5) to fluff up my hair. End result...

Super cheap & great!! haha. <3 Loreal!

It a chocolatey FEST!

For those who know me, knows i love chocolate~! I have to taste these bitter-sweet delicious browns every day of my life! When i'm stress, i'll walk to the nearest convenient store to get a bar of chocolate! I've seen the hershey's chocolate wall paper umpteen times whenever i walk through the city link. Finally,~ the 1st hershey's chocolate store in Singapore is opened!

This chocolate bar's freaking heavy! It cost like $60!

Humongous Hershey's syrup bottle. It's empty btw.. I've no idea who would buy this.. maybe dessert stores? A staff was kind enough to offer to help us take this picture.. This is one of the rare shops which allows customers to take pictures!

It's been nearly 3 months since my birthday.. Nise promised to take me to the chocolate buffet at Fullerton hotel as my birthday present and finally after ages.. she did!

To no surprise, they had chocolate fondue..

What i found special about the buffet was their chocolate drink! They had a variety of chocolate with different percentage of cocoa to chose from. I had 3 cups of it! 1st was the most bitter, 78%, which i found too bitter that it had a sour taste, 61% and lastly 50%.. They melted the chocolate with milk on the spot. What was unique is the tea droppers! Each chocolate was matched with a different tea drip which you could chose to drip or not. They matched the bitter chocolate with a sweet tea whiles the 50% was matched with a slightly bitter tea..

Spread of chocolate! There was chocolate in everything! Macaroons, cakes, lychee martini with white chocolate, cherry chocolate, even chocolate with wasabi!

I wouldn't say there was a wide spread but it's purely a chocolate buffet so you would get pretty sick of chocolate after a while. The bill added up to $90 which is pretty reasonable though it's just chocolate. But we really enjoyed the quiet ambiance and good service!

If lady Gaga could wear a meat dress, why not a chocolate dress??

Watching movies, eating, watching movies and eating.. That's what i've been doing.. haha. Today i ate at Daidomon.. Soo filling!

First came the Chawamushi and green tea.. Their service was really good!

I ordered the beef/ fried tempura and vegies udon set.. All for just $18..

My mum ate the squid set whiles my sis ate ramen..

Then dessert which tasted quite normal...

Mon, i finally got to watch Megamind!! I seriously have no idea why it's so packed when it screened almost the same time as Harry Potter, which should be more popular.. The movie was hilarious and it had a happy ending.. =D I thought the whole movie would be about Megamind fighting Metroman(ok, sounds childish) just like how batman fights the joker but apparently not.. There's a twist!

Then we went charis's workplace, a wedding boutique, to meet up with her for dinner at minds cafe..

Endless flow of drinks. The blueberry was tasteless~!

They all ordered the same, Fish & shrooms pasta except me.. I ordered cheesy fish and chips...

We spent ONE HOUR playing this 'I know' game. It's simple to play. We had to pick a letter and a category and the one who hits the 'i know!' coaster and say a word of the category & letter first gets to keep a card. So after one hour, we finally finished the deck and guess who was the winner? ALL OF US! I can't believe we all ended up with 19 cards each!!

Tuesday, i had my 2nd interview at Forever21. I went to the counter at level 4 and the guy was like "oh, you were here last week right? I remember you.. You walk right past the door and into a wall.." I was like 'omg! Super embarrassing! My 1st interview was at the 'staff room' which was super long and narrow and the door and wall was all white. I finished my interview right when the staffs were having a meeting. So i walked passed them all the way till the end before i realized i had missed the door. Upon realization i was like "Oh!" and when i turned back, the staff were all looking at me and the guy said consolingly "It's ok. Everyone makes that mistake!" haha.

The interview was pretty interesting.. The head vmer of f21 asked me to pick out 3 outfits from the 4-level store within 20 minutes.

The 1st outfit was autumn bohemian. 2nd, an outfit from the pink room at the 4th level of f21 and the 3rd was my forte, rocker chic! haha. so i was running up and down like a mad cow cause the accessories were at level 1 and the rack to put the outfits were at level 4! Throughout the test there were people asking me if there was 's' size or what other sizes do they have.. i was like 'erm.. I'm here stressing out on the outfits annnd i am not the sales girl!'

This was the most enjoyable yet challenging interview, followed closely by the interview i had previously whereby the interviewer asked me what item which is in trend now that i absolutely can't stand. If he asked me the question now i would say the 'jiang shi' trench coat spotted at Louis Vuitton 2011 Spring Summer collection!

Look how similar it is!! It's like the exact replica of the Chinese Vampire costume without the brocades! Wonder who would buy that. If it was ONE bad outfit out of a great~ collection i would have let it slide by.. but NO! Marc Jacobs had to attached curtain TASSELS to jackets , pants, cheong sams and even handbags!

Seriously, they look like sea urchins stuck randomly on a fabric, swishing lifelessly. Yucks!

After the interview, i met up with Fedderich and Mere and ended up watching "Due Date".. It was super hilarious but got draggy and a little boring at some parts. As the movie was NC16, the lady at the counter asked if i was passed the age.. I was like yar... and she asked how old i am.. i replied in disbelief "21!" haha. Fedderich was like "How old do you look then? 16??" If the movie was M18 its still acceptable if she asked twice but N16?! lolz..

I want to watch 'Rapunzel : A Tangled Tale in 3D' next! =D

Kids are exhausting to look after! On thurs, my little cousins came to my house. Before that, i met up with feddrick and mere to watch megaminds. but it was sold out! so we ended up watching harry potter and the deathly hallows. It's surprising that megamind was sold out but potter was not. I guess it's because they have been showing the Megamind trailer for like 1-2 months before the movie was out.

The Harry potter movie was great!! It followed the book closely which is exactly what the audience want. Because it stuck to the book, means they didn't cut out any scenes , which also means there will be another potter movie as obviously 146mins wouldn't be enough to cover the entire book. yay! After movie, we had dinner at KPO.

But Feddrick still had laksa! He said he gained weight when he was in indo. Then mere also said she did. And feddrick rubbed it in by say yar! can tell! Cause now you don't have a jawline! Then he looked up and down at me and said "You also gained weight!" I was like what! If every time he said i grew fatter was a fact, i would probably be 100kg!

So by the time i came back, my cousins were sleeping..

So cute! My sis told me they were asking "where is alicia jie jie?" At that point i regretted not coming home earlier to play with them.
However, next morning, i totally DID NOT! At 8am, they were happily jumping on my bed and throwing things!!

I wish i could inject them with Anasthetic!

So on sat, my uncle treated us to dinner for the hard work of looking after them. When i came home, i saw two little shoes at the door step. So, i asked my sis if they were here and she replied "They're sleeping now. Don't disturb them. It's very hard to make them sleep!"

So, i decided to take the opportunity to have a nap. I had barely closely my eyes when i heard their familiar squeaky voices!

I told them i wanted to sleep and so they said "ok. I'll be your TV." and this was what i was watching for 20 mins..

I wore, a leather jacket i sewed, topshop dress, accessorize clutch and charles and keith heels.

Eight dishes course and mango pudding dessert, three pretty terrible dancers dancing to lady gaga's songs, fashion show, nobody dance and graduation ceremony summarizes the night.

The works of FMDs graduates.. I wouldn't comment on the designs as the school's only 4 years old and it belongs to my dad's friends. haha. but some of the models walked and posed funnily and 1 of them even tripped on a long dress. lols.

During my shopping trips these days, i see lots of spongebob apparels! It's spongebob everywhere! Which also means being in fantasy land for me! Everytime i spot something spongebob my emotional sense would tell me to grab it! but my logical side would think of the many spongebob things i have! To proof why i should be spongebob's wife...

On his 10th birthday, i celebrated his birthday by baking a spongebob cake!

I spent freaking FOUR hours baking this cake!!

Yesterday night, i couldn't sleep because there was something wrong with my wireless connection! So, i couldn't use the internet! Turns out my bro recreate a new network.. Well.. this proves that i can't live without the internet!! If i was stuck in an island, i would probably die~ of internet deprivation!

Speaking about internet, I really want to complain about singtel! Now, without an iphone, i still have to pay the monthly subscription fee of $56 for their iflexi plan which is so not worth it. So i asked if i could buy an iphone. They said they don't carry the iphone off the shelf and the latest i can get a new iphone is next year's may because i bought my phone just this may.. I was like "what?!" and still gota top up $300 because it would only be a year since i signed the contract. So, i asked if i could down grade the plan. They say can't. What about terminate? Gota pay a penalty of $800. Where to get the iphone4 without contract then? He said simlim or online, which both are not safe! ARGH!! Everything also cannot! Hence conclusion: Losing an iphone = GG!!!

I was super tired yesterday because i went the Hyatt hotel with meredith for the SIA interview.. i was dressed in shorts and platform slippers! BIG MISTAKE! so obviously i didn't even get through the first round.. There were like hundreds of applicants and we were grouped in tens.
After 2 hours of waiting, my group finally went into the interview room, the interviewer said "In 1 minute, tell us why we should put you through the 2nd interview." I was so unprepared!

After the interview, i rushed to taka to work for dove chocolate, giving out dove chocolate mini bars.. We had to wear this long brown dress with yellow sleeves and belt. We kinda looked like part of Harry potter's cast, yet, there were a couple of people who wanted to take picture with me! Super unglam because i was perspiring like mad! I managed to take home about more than 10 bars of choc.. My arm muscles are aching badly from carrying the tray of chocolates!

On fri, went ice skating! It's soo exp to skate in singapore! it's like $22 (Adult price) + $2(gloves & socks) and it's just for 2 hours! so short!

We wore the ice hockey skates which i felt was harder to skate in than normal ones!

So many of us went but yet we didn't get like a group package discount!

Leo totally got bullied because he didn't really know how to skate!

Seriously gay! And this was right in the middle of the ice skating rink!

Looks like a bunch of bullies standing around him. And to make it worst, he was lying on ICE~!

We only had like slightly over an hour to skate because they spent 15 minutes smoothing the ice and about 25 minutes getting the skates, wearing them and putting our belongings in the locker!

After ice skating, i met with charis & meredith for dinner at watami.. We ordered the $49 for 2 pax meal which was super worth it!

They also provided free in house tea. Halfway through the meal, Charis was like 'hmm.. the tea taste like water...' and when we asked for refill, the waitress refilled our cups except for charis's one. So, she asked "Could you refill mine too?' And she was like, "miss, yours is water."

Can't believe she couldn't tell the difference!!

haha.. i've finally completed 5 chops! so they gave me a free food tasting voucher.. i've no idea what it is..

We each paid $19(minus charis orange yakult).. Extremely worth it!

Halloween's not my day...

Halloween spells horror for me! Decked out as a girl who was posessed by spongebob, i headed down to zouk.. After getting our chops, we went to the coffee shop opposite to drink beer and draw money..

When i was withdrawing money, the damn atm ate my card! The machine was churning noisily after i keyed in the amount i wanted to draw and my pin. i thought maybe it was old so it takes a longer time to count the money, but the next thing i knew, it said 'Your card has been retained' I was like 'O-M-G'. so i had to call to get a replacement. After my turn, my friends were all apprehensive to draw money. However, their cards were fine and i was the only unfortunate victim! argh..
So with just $4 in my bag, we went drinking. We played 7 up and 007.

Feeling just a little high, we headed to zouk..
We exchanged four tickets for a jug so we had 4 jugs.. The long island ice tea was freaking strong!

So feeling a little tipsy, we headed to the dance floor. After dancing for nearly an hour, we came out of the dance floor. Annndd... this was when i realised, i FREAKING LOST MY WHOLE BAG!!!@#$)(*&^%$#@!@

So, fion's bf borrowed a torchlight and headed back to the dance floor to find my slingbag. It was impossible because there were hundreds of legs and there was hardly any sight of floor let alone bag! So we decided to go to the counter and to see if any kind soul returned it. After asking, lo and behold, they found my bag! i was elated to see my familiar bag! i quickly opened to check if all my stuff were there and then, horrors of all horrors... my IPHONE WAS G-O-N-E!! it's like how to you spell a G, an O, a N and a E?! GONE, VANISHED, DISAPPEARED!!! along with you know what? My pathetic $4! My miserable $4 also want to steal.. the thief must be a freaking beggar.. wonder how he/she entered zouk! so i was left with my ezlink card(which expired that day) and some makeup.

Face of distress!! The worst case scenario that could happen to one! NO MONEY. NO PHONE. Couldn't be any worst!

From now, i'm soo gonna be anti-clubbing. NO more clubbing for me!

Mon morning, i left to malaysia with my dad and sis to visit my uncle and ah ma.. we stayed over at my uncle's place. They had a nice swimming pool so upon arrival, my sis and I zoomed to the pool. As we couldn't find the gym, we swam first.

As we were swimming, an indian girl came into the pool so i asked her if she knew where the gym was. She was like "just go up the stairs and turn right"
Then i asked "Do you think we can enter the gym with our swimming costumes and without running shoes?"
she replied "I'm not sure. Because i usually go to the gym first then go swimming. But i don't think you can"haha
I was like "oh yar.. That's the normal thing to do" I felt like a fool man. haha. being told by a 9yr old girl to gym before i swim. she must be thinking who on earth swims then go to an air-conditioned gym being all wet and in a swimming costume. haha.

Next day, we ate lunch with my cousins, lilee, tasha, ah ma, aunts and uncle at pyramid towers..

Then, we did a little shopping. I only bought a jacket cause we didn't have much time.. Then, we headed home where i'm back to the reality of life; without my iphone!

I bought a heels at a ridiculously cheap price of $14.90, a bag for $26.90 and a belt which wasnt that cheap, $12.90.

I asked my sis to guess the price of my steals and she guessed $15 for e shoes, $25 for the bag and $12 for the belt. It was pretty close to the actual price.
I was like "why did you guess so expensive for the belt and so cheap for the shoes?!"
And she replied "cause the shoes look cheap and the belt looks exp!"
I was so exasperated i said "ok. Then you go outside now and see if you can find a heels for $15!" haha.

Then after our trip, we went to meet shuan and leo to play at play nations..

They had an extremely big Yoshi!

I was so engrossed in playing guitar hero that i lost track of time! so i headed down in a cab to cine to catch the movie "you again". The movie was hilarious. It's about a girl whose brother was marrying her high school enemy and she tried to stop the marriage by trying means and ways to let her brother know her enemy's past.

Wed, i met up with li to discuss about our batam trip and to cut hair. i was heading down to town when halfway li called to tell me that the hairstylist we wanted was overseas! so she asked me to go BACK to amk to cut at flhair salon. So i called to ask if this hairstylist, named calvin was free but he wasn't till 630pm then when i reached amk li asked me to call and ask if another hairstylist, baby was free. i was like "huh.. i called 2 times ler. like so ma fan.." but she said "just call.. maybe she'll be in" so i called and the guy on the phone was like "oh. she's not working there anymore. so is there any other preferred hairstyle you would like?" i didn't know anyone else so i said "no, it's ok." whiles we were eating lunch, huili said "aye.. why don't we tell them change to fri?" i was like "WHAT?! they must be thinking we are so troublesome! "

After eating at a mei cafe, which li was continuously complaining how exp it was, i headed down to centerpoint to meet nise for yoga! It's been a long time since we did yoga. After the session, my body was aching like mad and i was terribly exhausted. We then rushed to db to meet shuan and leo again~ because leo could bring 3 friends to minds cafe to play for FREE! how great is that?!

I won the 1st round when playing but as for the rest of the games... leo TOTALLY DOMINATED us!! That's the difference of a member and a non-mem.. haha.

After playing we had chicken rice for dinner and tau sua for dessert..

By the time i reached home, it was midnight and i was super tired! but yet really excited for my batam trip, so i ended up sleeping at around 1am..

At 630am, i was awoken by my alarm clock. i was so tired i wanted to tell li if we could catch the next ferry. we were supposed to catch the 8.50am ferry but by the time i reached it was 9am so we had to catch the next ferry which left at 9.40am. Throughout the whole ferry ride, lili was nagging and complaining about me being late.. it was like going on a trip with my mum. no worst. my grandma! haha.

Upon arriving, Isabella, which was the massage spa palour we booked earlier, picked us up from habourfront bay and drove us to Isabella. We did Full Body Massage + Scrub + Body Mask + Ear Candle + Facial + V Spa + Milk Bath with Jacuzzi for FOUR HOURS!

so by the time we ended it was 2pm which didn't leave much time for us to shop.. on the email, i told them it would be great~ if they could drop us off at Nagoya Shopping mall and they replied the mall was just opposite their spa. When we reach there, we realized the mall was just across the road! We must have sounded so stupid to them!

After eating at A&W, we were left with 2 1/2 hours to shop.

I ended up with only 3 spongebob tee which are absolute adorable!

Then, we when back to Isabella so they could send us to wye wye seafood restaurant. we ate chili crab, crispy cereal prawns, kangkong and fruits.

I also order Heineken beer and the bottle was huge! it was like a wine bottle! and it cost like SDG$3+!

The service was great and the seafood was not bad! The bill ended up to $10+ each which was really cheap! =D

After dinner, we strolled back to the terminal. li bought a raph lauren polo tee for her bf for just $65! it's like half it's original price!

Then, when we were about to board the ferry, the officer told us we were supposed to change the tickets we had to a boarding pass at the mall! we were like OMG! we didn't know! and it was like the last ferry of the day! the officer was super~ nice. he called his friend to run to the nearest mall to exchange the ticket to a pass for us. The guy was so polite and pretty good looking.. haha. so we were saying he should work at SIA as a air steward. lolz.

So, when i reached to my home sweet home, i was showing off my spoils to my sis again. and i asked her to guess how much a tee was and she was like two dollars.. !! what the #$&^%$#@! haha.

Today, i went to flhair to cut my hair.. The director, calvin was really friendly.. but he was super busy. he told me that usually he only cuts regular during peak seasons..

This week's been a crazy week... 1st, susan came back from china on mon! so on tues and wed's we went out with her! on tues meredith, daisy, delly, lena, steffi and charis met up with for dinner.. then we all went back because most of us had work the next day.

On wed's i took a half day leave to go for an interview for the position of a fashion designer/ sales point. i had to fill in an application form and a questionnaire before i was interviewed. one of the questions was "what garment do you hate which is in trend now?" i wrote: the full furred coat. and when i went in, he asked "it's interesting that you wrote that because that is what everyone's into now." i was like "yar i know.. but i just hated the fur jacket in chanel's autumn winter 2010 collection. It looks like they were wearing a dead bear on them!

honestly.. if i saw someone wearing this on the streets, i would mistake them for a mascot or a lemur!

wed, we went mind's cafe to play and eat! they were already starting to decorate the place with halloween decos.. i'm still lost on what to do on halloween!

we played taboo, followed by jenga then cluedo!

Look how intense they were because the loser had to pick a punishment! and the loser was... susan! haha. the punishment she drew was the best of the lot! to tie her hair into a coconut hairstyle throughout the whole day..

she still looks cute! haha.

Thurs was a surprise.. haha. i was doing my work as usual and suddenly at 4pm my boss calls me into his office. he had my work laid on the table and then said: "i got some bad news for you.. i feel that your design style does not suit our company."

i was like sitting there stoned. i just smiled and said "alright, it's fine."

and he said "i hope you don't take personally'

and i was like 'no.. i understand.' and with that i left the room.

After that, i met huili for dinner at the new cafe in cine's basement, graffiti cafe. there used to be one at hereen during our sec school days but it closed down because hereen wanted a more 'high class' feel to its mall.

then i told li the news and she was like why don't to start your own shop? i was like what?! it would be risky and it'll require lots of money! then halfway whiles walking around, gladyn called me to meet her and rid cause they were in town too.

When we were sitting at macs, rid and gladyn were saying, we didn't expect you to find a job! we seriously thought you would start up your own shop! i was like what!? and then rid said a line which totally strike me as to why i sorta got fired! he said "you're stubborn, you're very hard to convince, you prefer things to be done your own way and you don't really listen to other people's opinions but because we're your friends so you listen." and he said ALL THESE when he DIDN'T EVEN KNOW that i was fired!

and then at night huili msged me saying "though i not so str forward say u stubborn but i also keep telling u open yr own shop!!"

fri, i met up with mere for dinner and dance..

we tried this jap restaurant which sell mainly japanese curry..

then after class we accompanied charis to eat. i ordered gui ling gao and meredith ordered mango pudding..

look at the size!! haha.. her mango pudding is pathetic! hahaha.. alrights.. i'm off to watch the apprentice! i'm so addicted to that show~!
